I saw this on a Yahoo group (it struck a chord):
This adorable spayed & microchipped female spotted rex needs your
help. She was found in a sealed box with her siblings left in a
park to die then brought the shelter where she was separated from
her family then put right in for major surgery to be spayed. She is
so very upset and scared after this ordeal. Adding to that of all
the strangers reaching into the tiny wire bottom cage she resides in
at the shelter and having towels thrown over her to clean her cage
while she is still in it is just too much for any rabbit.
Unfortunately the shelter has now deemed her unadoptable and we all
know what that means. Let me be VERY clear, she has not bitten
anyone, she merely runs around in her tiny cage, rears up and boxes
out of sheer fear for her life. I think with some time and love out
of the environment she will be a very adoptable rabbit. PLEASE if
anyone can assist by fostering her for a month or rescuing her so
that she never has to go back to the shelter, this darling little
girl deserves a second chance! If you or anyone you know can help
Please call me ASAP! Thanks!
Happy New Year!
