Hello, this is my first post here. I found a lost/stray rabbit hiding under a shed in a vacant (on sale) house property this afternoon 5/14/11 and I want to know if anybody can go check up on the rabbit.
The location is: 4258 Horner St, Union City, CA 94587. The house is on sale and nobody is living. I drove down from Hercules to Union City to meet with my friend and we parked close to the vacant house. My friend saw a huge rabbit in the backyard of the house so I went to take a look.
At first I did not see anything but found half eaten rotten oranges (there is an orange tree by the shed). Under the shed, I found a white rabbit with some orange/red fur in its face hiding. I could not see the whole body and do not know the breed. It looked big and is kind of typical rabbit you see in pet stores. It cannot be a wild animal. The rabbit dug the ground a little bit so it has been living there for a while.
There is not much vegetation and no water around. We tried to get the rabbit with no success.
I tried to send message to East Bay Rabbit Rescue in Richmond but got error messages. I do not know who else to ask for help for the poor rabbit.
If anybody who is living close to the area, can you go take a look at the rabbit? There is no gate in front of the house and the drive way goes all the way to the backyard of the house so I think there is no problem getting in the back.
Thank you in advance for your kindness.
