Hello Everyone.

Sadly, I have received a list from the San Jose shelter again.

I've attached photos and descriptions for anyone who is able to foster, even if it's for only 2 weeks to 2 month. Any amount of time can help save a precious life.

Please contact me as soon as possible if you are able to help.

Subject: Euthanasia list for San Jose - Any help ?
Date: Fri, 28 Dec 2007 21:11:13 -0800

Hello Annaand Heather.

I got a list from Kelly tonight for the San Joserabbits. We only have until Sunday evening.

A59418 Nina - medium sized white bunny with black spots, gentle and sweet. Was overlooked initially by adopters due to her weight problem, but now quite fit andtrim on her diet. Not altered yet. You wouldn't even recognize her from her previous photos.

A553206 Melissa - very gentle, mellow, sweet black rabbit. Spayed already. Has been in the shelter since 7/2006. Eager to get out and find a new home. Gentle little soul.

A560243 Clover - medium white bunny with interesting blacktrim around the eyes andears, likes to get pet, curious, gentle rabbit. Not altered.

A563617 Mudge - small, cutewhite rabbit with light brown trim, blue eyes. She has been quite distressed byher shelter experience. She is relatively shy and is craving a loving home. Not altered.

Can anyone help ?

Euthanization calls always tear me up. With thousands of innocent lives no longer wanted (surrendered) or ditched as strays, concerned humans do their best to foster, save, adopt and/or rehome.

Thinking positive they won't be destroyed. They can transition OUT of the shelter.

The offer still stands for somebunny to stay in my extra outdoor hutch. My apologies to anyone who thinks housing bunnies outdoors is an abomination, but I think it's better than the alternative. I'll call Lily and offer, too.

Praying that everybunny can get out in time

I will admit, I did look to see if any "called out" to me, as I did promise Em a bun to replace her sweet Bun Bun...

But I couldn't find a picture of Mudge...was she rescued?

For now, at least... THEY'RE SAFE! Some have been pulled into foster homes, some are waiting to meet potential adopters. Three cheers for Lily and Save-a-Bunny!
