Good morning. I'm a long time kitty mommy with sone limited experience with rabbits. This beautiful little guy appeared in a ditch about a week and a half ago outside of our house. It was apparent to me that some irresponsible person decided they no longer wanted the responsibility of a pet. Shame on them: this little guy could have met a horrible and agonizing fate! Anyway, I've converted our 2 year olds dachshund's crate into a bunny condo. I can't tell you how sorry nny and frightened this bunny was, so much so that he actucually hopped into the cardboard box we put down to catch him! He's getting rabbit food, timothy hay, apples, parsley, celerely, etc. for treats every day. He pretty much has free roam of the house to explore, kick up his heals and rest every day. He's fattenned up s lot. He seems happy and relaxed. While I'm waiting for his new forever Mommy to adopt him soon ( a friend of ours who loves rabbits but needs a bit of time to prepare for him) is there anything else I should be doing for him? And, how can I figure out his age? Name suggestions for a name is also welcomed, thanks!
