This is a craigslist ad:

We have four baby bunnies under our porch where the mom took up residence and we think she has already had or going to have another bunch. SHE IS NOT OUR RABBIT!!!!
The next door neighbour adopted a white one from the SPCA and then let her go in her yard when she saw other rabbits in the area. Apparently some guy a couple of doors up let all of his go as well so she felt "sorry" for it. We were gone most of the summer and came back to this "cute" white bunny and when we asked the lady next door she said the rabbit had been fixed. NOT!!!!

The Delta Humane Society has not called us back even thought I talked to someone there last week. The Surrey SPCA says this is a Delta problem. We are going to be over run with them soon. ANY IDEAS ANYONE???

-------------------------------

I've already given this person the contact info of the Vancouver HRS. I really don't want him taking these poor buns to the Surrey SPCA because they are death row for buns =[

Anyone in the lower mainland area want baby bunnies?

Slim chance, but I'll ask my mom about it. I could possibly be able to take them in to foster. I have an extra pet store cage and I could easily get some grids.

I'll talk with mom, but if you need a last resort and no one else is able to take them, I am open forthem.

Do you know if they can/have caught the babies and mom?

I gave him the contact info for VRRA, but I haven't heard back.. =T I know Olga, the founder of VRRA usually wouldn't let this slide.

But if you can take a bunny, I'll give you his craigslist's email address =]

It should be easy enough to find homes for the babies, the hard part is going to be making sure they get spayed and neutered when they're old enough.

I'm talking to a lot of people all the time who would love a baby rabbit, but not sure they'd follow through on that.

So much interest and so little time. <sigh> I wish I was a better 'closer'.

I wanted to have 'open house' events here in the heavily populated and accessible West End, just to invite people over to see how delightful rabbits can be, but now I have a homeless guy, Bunny George,' camped out in my livingroom, so that's no longer an option. (He'd scare them off for sure). ;)
