43 rabbits in Waterbury/Naugatuck area CT need immediate help
Sat, 20 Oct 2007 01:17:04 EDT
I got a call today from someone trying to help find placement for 43 rabbits from one seizure (sorry, don't know details) before putting them all down. She has convinced them to give her a few days to come up with any homes or rescues that can take one or many
Right now, she is only checking locally with vets, farms, feed stores, 4H, etc, but if any of you have room and transportation, they would certainly let them go elsewhere. The rabbits are of different varieties it seems - she only mentioned 6 angoras of different sizes/colors - so not all coming from same original parents. I can find that out if you have any room.
One big obstacle for me.....I CANNOT receive mail on this address currently (will bounce back and don't have time just now to fix the problem), but have to use this one to post to the various lists. Pain in the neck. If anyone is able to help, please DO NOT REPLY to this AOL address, rather to [email protected], and I will put you in touch with the woman working on this. She is not with animal control or any private rescue and knows nothing about rabbits, so has no contacts and is much at a loss. She did say males and females are separate, so hopefully they came that way and no pregnancies.
Please forward on to any other groups that might be able to help
thanks,
Catrin
