This girl is at the Chicago HRS and she is SO BEAUTIFUL!!!! I'd love to have her, and my boyfriend keeps threatening to go get her, but I already have 2 bunnies and that is the absolute max (landlord, finances, bonding, etc will NOT allow for another)!! He lives with me so there's no chance of him getting her either. I know we have a lot of flemmie fans on this board, and with her unique color, I hope she catches someone's heart like she's caught ours!:biggrin2:

Ihave seenher picture before your post. Naturestree thought she was being funny by sending my the link to this thread because I told her that this "bunny collecting" is an addiction. I even thought about starting a thread pertaining to that notion after looking at the thread about transporting buns from Connecticut to Illinois. I found myself picking a bun or two out who might get along with Patrick and Luna. That was when I realized it might be an addiction.

Anyhow, I considered this little girl and might have e-mailed them. I do not believe I received a response and therefore thought that perhaps they didn't adopt out-of-state. I have noticed that most Giants seem to be on the East Coast and rarely in the Midwest, so I tended to not look at them too closely because they were unobtainable. I also looked at Lolita, Dorothy, and Taleah. All gorgeous buns that have been posted on Petfinder for such a long time, one to two years at least.

I am very happy with my two Dutch. I would love a pair of Giants, but I would need every one to get along because there just never seems to be enough time in the day to run two, or more, sets of buns so they get their exercise and cuddle time. I do not know how every one else does it with two plus sets of buns... You all amaze me with your skills.

Awww, I wish. I bet she would make a nice friend for Nebula. But I doubt they do out of state adoptions, even though I will be in the area in a month for a cat show.

I was laying in bed thinking about this little girl when it dawned on me that when I e-mailed to get more information, my e-mail could have gone to their spam/junk folder. :(I made such an effort to get a hold of TreasuredFriends to get Luna and had sent her a couple of e-mails because my sister reminded me that sometimes computers tag personal mail as junk even though they are not.

There is a phone number listed on "Tessa's" post --847-266-0068. I'll give that a try later today and let every one know what they say about their adoption policy. She is a great looking bun and deserves a great home as they all do.

you're right about personal messages being tagged as junk sometimes. i've had that happen off of petfinder when i use my @gmail.com address, so i switched to by school .edu address, which worked. i'm glad you're calling to see what the details are!!;)

Tessa is actually listed on Petfinder through the Chicago House Rabbit Society. The have a very lengthy answering machine message about being run by volunteers, ect. I did leave a message to inquire about their adoption policy because I live out-of-state. I guess I just have to wait for a volunteer to get back with me with policy information and more information about her personality (okay with cats/dogs/children, being cuddled, ect.)

I just hope I am not opening a can of worms for myself. I have to keep telling myself, "All you need are two...no more than two buns at a time...." Look at what you've started Naturestree....!

I was waiting all weekend for a response to my call to the Chicago HRS and nothing. So I thought about calling again just to refresh their memories that some one was interested in one of their posted rabbits. I went to Petfinder to get the number again and Tessa's posting is gone. Maybe my call reminded some one to take her posting off because she was adopted a while ago or perhaps just recently... I had better stop there because I am glad I didn't spend a whole weekend by the phone waiting to hear from some one about a bunny I was potentiallyinterested in.

Best of luck Tessa in your new home (hopefully).

Yeah we noticed that her listing was gone too. I hope this means she got a new home!! It would have been nice to see her on the forum, but I can't complain if she has a new family!!

Mods, you can add "resolved" to this if you like.
