Some of you may remember me mentioning that my 4.5 year old (I now can say that since I know her birthday)doe,Reese, was getting spayed today. Well the vet had mentioned that because of her age she might not be able to come home tonight and I was a little worried but she did so awesome that she is home already! It helps that her spay was done pretty much as soon as my brother in law dropped her off at 8. She's already been eating and she looks good!

Anyways, thought everyone might like an update, now back to studying.

That's wonderful news! :D

But the worst part's not over yet - Reese will be wanting lots of sympathy, nose rubs and carrots to help her recover! :bow

- Rachel and Ollie :juggle

That's wonderful! I'm glad to hear that things went well, lets hopefor speedy recovery. :bunnydance:

OH great!! So happy she came through the spay with no issues. Did you do all the blood work and stuff before hand since she is older?

Sorry no pictures, 2 finals tomorrow and I need to study. Not to mention we went from summer temperatures to spring type weather (rain, rain, and more rain) to winter all over again.Yesterday the snow all melted as it hit the ground but this morning I woke up to a nice layer of heavy wetsnow everywhere.

She's going to the washroom. Not a lot of poops yet but considering she hasn't eaten much, I'm not worried. Overall she's doing better than Zoey did and Zoey was a whole lot younger! I had to hand feed Zoey cilantro for 2 days, lol. Reese is more than happy to eat on her own.She ate her lettuce from her salad, a few oats, and a piece of apple.

Reese isn't one for nose rubs yet, I haven't had much time to spend socializing her with me so she isn't too keen on my touching her yet.

I checked her incision and all looks good. They used laser surgery on her so they don't even need to use stitches.

I had an exam and blood work run by my local vet when I brought her home in February. But my spay/neuter vet lives 1.5 hours away and he never ran any tests. I only opted to do so to make sure she was in good health because of her age, none of my others ever had blood work done.
