Ready for Neuter?

I have a couple questions regarding how to know whether a male bunny is ready to be neutered yet. I know they should be between 4-6 months old and their testicles should have dropped and be visible. I've also read that sexually mature males will spray, hump (their human, other bunnies, or other objects), and can become more aggressive.

My bunny is about 3 1/2 months old and his testicles dropped several weeks ago. We were thinking we would get him neutered in mid-January, but he has yet to display any of the behaviors listed above. Does this mean he is ready for the surgery or not? Should we wait until we see some of those behaviors? I'm not complaining--I'm very glad I haven't been sprayed yet! I'm just surprised we haven't see anything yet. Any advice? Thanks!

Not all bucks will have those behaviours. I have 2 intact bucks and neither one sprays or is aggressive. Only one of them will hump things. They are both over 1.5 years old as well.

I would not wait for those behaviours to surface to get him done. Just get him done when you want (mid January should be fine). Just keep in mind that those behaviours could surface between now and then.

They can be acting perfectly normal one day and turn into crazy humping, spraying fools the next. Literally overnight! As long as they are there they can be snipped.

I have a teenager and he was very sweet then one day he decided my daughters bed was his and oh boy it was down hill from there.

:yeahthat: Can go from sweet to Were-rabbit in an instant. Our vet said the as soon as they drop they can be gotten rid of.

Mmmmhmmm! That is very true. I got Harvey as an unaltered adult male. He was fine for maybe a week or two. Then it was a spraying humpfest with the cats. He was kind of a pill haha.

Oh and it only got worse too.
