How the hell do you pick up rats?

Okay that was short and sweet - I'll try again!!
I'm lookinh after my friends rats while she's on holiday in France they are called Daisy and Ruby - Daisy is grey and white and ruby is black and white!
I have no idea on rat breeds so sorry !

I just want to know how to pick them up so their comfortable - then i could get some piccys of them for you all to awwh at!

One of my first rats was named Daisy!
Have one hand around the waist and then scoop the bum up. Some rats will come onto your hand on their own, too... And rats are one of the least likely rodents to bite, they're too busy being friendly and curious, so don't feel nervous trying to handle them.
