Holy Lord, I can't remember when we've had such a RAINY summer. I honestly think it's rained almost every day in July and August so far.

Our grass is so green which is nice but honestly I'd rather have brown grass and nice warn sunny days. The weeds are growing wild, the flowers aren't doing too good way too much rain.

How's everyone else's summer been so far?

We got hit by lightening three days ago and just got our phone fixed this afternoon. It hit between our house and barn (we watched it.) Our sheep dog got a bloody nose because it hit so close. It blew up our hot tub, satallite internet and phones. Our power supply for our internet exploded inside the house and burnt a hole in the wall and desk. I don't know how a fire didn't start. It even burned and blew up the printer where the phone comes in. We turned everything off and unplugged but never thought of the phone lines! But I'm just glad my animals are all O.K. It looked like an explosion went off!

So I agree I am sick of the rain and storms too!

You all need to come to Australia well Adelaide anyway....when it's summer here..it's summer!...hot and dry and it doesn't rain.....i really cannot wait for summer to get here even though idislike that season..it get's to hot here...i love spring time and i'm so looking forward to September which is the start of spring time...yay!!

At the moment it's winter though and it had been raining all night and this morning and it's been just miserable weather but it's just the afternoon now and the rain has stopped....don't know for how long though....i hate winter time!!

Rain, cold, boiling hot followed by rain, cold.... It was in the 90's (F) and a cold front came through after the last thunder storm and our heat came on!!!!!! In August, the furnace kicked on. I about flipped. Then my DH found a big fat wooly bearhttp://members.cox.net/tunias_travels/Wooly.htm so he thinks it's going to snow soon. I'll scream if it does. Haven't gotten but 3 tomotoes from the garden...

The Canada Geese were flying today. Where has summer gone?

Hey Susan - I'm with you!!

Neil and I have been trying to paint our deck all summer, but you need about 5 days of sunshine for that. Since the beginning of the summer - that hasn't happened cause I've been keeping track.

On a good note, I'm horrible at watering my plants, so they are very thankful this year, LOL.
