When we found my rabbits on the side of theroad, one of them had a tooth problem. :(Its teeth don't meet togetherso he can't wear his teeth down. When we found him his teeth were solong he could'nt eat so we got them clipped by a vet right away. He iseating fine now but he is still a little under weight. What can I feedhim to plump him up a bit?:?

How much under weight is a little? What did the vet say about it? And what are you feeding himnow?

If you are feeding limited pellets (and most adult rabbits should be),then you could give him more. If he is eating timothy hay,you could give him a little bit of alfalfa hay too.Vegetables are good for him too, as long as they don't upset hisstomach. You shouldn't need to increase his food too much perday unless he is severely underweight. Like weight loss, weight gain is best done slowly. Big changes can make himstressed, too.

I think quick oats are good to plumpen themup. Also carrots. If you want to give treats, thenatural ones are best. Treats such as a tiny slice of apple, banana, a grape. Just like Naturestree said, small amountsoccasionally. :)

You don't want to make him fat.Remember it is easier to gain weight than it is to lose it.Just increase his feed a little. Do you feel is spine?

I agree with what you said about not wanting to make him too fat.

I would just let him have however much pelletshe wants till he gains the weight back.He may not be able to eatcarrots if his teeth are very bad even if they are clippednow.Sunflower seeds are fattening.try giving him a teaspoonfull.bluebird
