So I keep 2 rabbits in my room, they live together, and everything is well for now (I am aware of my younger one maturing and hormones and all that) however, my room is extremely small. My rabbits are really out going and curious and don't really go under my bed, unless if they're doing zoomies. My room is seriously like a 9x10' room at MOST. And my room is a pentagon? Not really a square which makes it considerably smaller. I feel really guilty that they don't have enough room even outside of their cage (I have pictures on a thread I posted earlier)

I let them out of my room today and they were running ALL over the house. I would let them out more however it is near impossible with my dog, and other family members. At night the dog sleeps with one of the family members, so he is unaware of what happens haha (since they keep the door closed), but during the day he's out and about. So my only chance is to let them out at night, but sometimes I am quite busy so I am unable to watch them. When they are out in my room, I'm usually on the computer or something since I know my room is bunny proofed, and so there are really no dangers or anything?

However, when they're in my room they don't really do any running or anything? They just kind of scrounge around for food, hop around a little, explore their maze haven a couple times, sniff the ground, flop and nap most of the time. I feel like it is because they don't have enough room? I *used* let them have the hallway that my room is connected to but I blocked off the entrance of the hallway but my male rabbit will scratch and nudge and jump till he gets rid of the makeshift gate! There are 2 chairs and a table holding the "gate" up (it's the bottom of an XL dog crate thing - the black plastic) and he will focus on getting rid of the gate rather than playing around.

What should I do? Should I try to let them out of my room more? Or do you think they are fine in my room? How often should I let them out of my room, if I should at all? There are no wires laying around the house is pretty bunny proofed as it is LOL, the only thing I'm worried about are the christmas tree light cord and the tv cords (but from what I saw today and before in the past - they are more interested in running around and chasing me for treats)

Are you letting them out in your room during the day, like when you say they're napping and stuff? Im sure they have enough room, if you include their cage and the rest of your room, im sure they're fine. My bun lives in a pet store cage and only gets to be in the kitchen, which is like 30' x 10' and she's fine. Just try to let them out as much as possible. As for the rest of the house, let them in when you have the time to watch them. A few times a week should be great! As long as they get a few hours of out of the cage time, they're happy!

Yes they get at least a couple of hours out of their cage each day (more or less on some days depending on my schedule or on how busy/ tired I am). Thanks that really reassures me! I've had a little thing about space :p if you couldn't tell from my past threads! I will try to let them out of my room a few times a week, they really go wild and run around when they are out of my room so to me it seems as if they enjoy that more than being cooped up in my room - which they probably do!

they need at least 4-5h outside of the cage each day... as for room size, the recommended minimum size space is 60 square feet, which they should have in your room even with furniture.
