I have never let my grandson's cat outside because I worry about him picking up tapeworms. I know that you can treat a rabbit for pin and round worms if you have too, but what about tapeworms? I also do not allow my company to bring animals when they visit, unless I know that they have been treated in the last month or so. Am I just being over protective?:hugsquish:

When it comes to the safety of your pets, I don't really believe there is such a thing as overprotective. This is especially so when we're talking about possible parasite infestation.

Even if your rabbit can be treated for it, I think you're wise to not take that risk in the first place.

Diseases aside, we had to tell a friend that he couldn't bring his dog with him when he visited. He always brought the dog and it stressed out my rabbit immensely.
