peapoo used to eat the orange and the peel...im not sure how good it was for her though....she would run up and steal pieces if you were sitting where she could reach you

My rabbit didn't like orange. Oranges do have high sugar, and are rather acidic, as well as being a fruit which should be on a treat basis.

I wouldn't be giving bunny a soft orange peel to 'staisfy' chewing cravings, as bunny would want hard objects like wood to grind down teeth.

i know its a "treat" and should only be given on occasion. I'm just wondering if it's okay to give them as a treat. i like to give them some diversity in foods. they seem to appreciate not having the same food all the time. i know a lot of people say rabbits dont like changes in their diet but i beg to differ... and about the orange peel, i should have worded my question a little better but my rabbits do have plenty of wood blocks and stuff to chew on, but they also seem to like chewing on soft things (like my hair and my blanket:mad:) so im sure they wouldnt mind munching on an orange peel....i just wanna make sure its safe....im gonna try to look up some info on the acidic part.
