Yesterday I got two of my rabbits vaccinated against calici virus. All went well at the vet, the health checks were good and the rabbits were calm getting the vaccine.
When we were on the way back from the vet, we picked up another rabbit that our friend is letting us keep for a while and the buns had to wait in the car while we got the other bunny. It wasn't a long wait and the bunnies were fine when we came back. Would waiting in the car for 5 minutes have been too stressful?
When we got home I put them back in their cages and they were fine and eating and drinking.
This morning though when I checked on them, I noticed that they had barely touched their hay (very weird) and with one bunny, there was still some pellets in the bowl.
I am going to try offering some greens and see if that helps and to see if they eat it.
I've put one in the playpen on the grass and she's acting a little better, nibbling on the grass and hopping around but there is no binkiying or running.
I don't remember my other bunnies doing this when they got vaccinated so I'm a bit worried.
Do you think they are just stressed and need rest or is this a bigger issue?
Thanks everyone
