Rabbit Seizures

Has anyone had experience with this? What were the rabbit's symptoms, causes, treatment and quality of life like?

I have had a rabbit with seizure-like symptoms, but my vet, people of RO, and I could not figure out what was going on with my rabbit.

I've had two with major problems that had short seizures and passed.

Prince, who had the seizure-like symptoms had something similar to tourrette syndrome, he had "tics". He had them once in awhile. I feed him a little alfalfa hay each week and that seemed to stop them for a while, but he kept having them. I did however get them under control. But Prince passed away at 2 1/2 years old.

My bun had a seizure a couple of weeks ago. I rushed her to the emergency vet and she was still having seizure activity when i got there. They gave her a shot to stabilize her. Since then, she has had blood work done and test ran. They said there was nothing genetically wrong with her and she didnt have any infections that could have caused it. Their only guess was that she got stressed. Since then, I have not had any problems with seizures. I have started keeping her in a different room where there isnt constant activity (ie, a 2 year old running around, a bid squawking and cats sticking their paws in her cage). She is doing very well now
