Rabbit scratch !

Urgent . My rabbit just scratched me and it bled for 10mins . But now stopped. Do I need to get a tetnus shot ? Also is there any indian vet. Info

No shot but you might need stitches. If it bled that long it must be deep so I'm assuming your rabbits nails are pretty long so you should clip them to prevent this from happening again.

If the rabbit is healthy and living in clean conditions you shouldn't need any shots.

It wasn't even that deep . But I have no idea why it bled like that. I kept cleaning it with dettol. N and also now putting anti septic cream .

Providing you've cleaned it properly, you should be perfectly fine. The only reason a scratch like that would become infected is if there was dirt or something under his nail that got into the scratch, but you've cleaned it out, so no issue
