Rabbit belongs to my roommate. He's 5 months old. Most of the time he's very well-behaved, but over the last week he's been annoying the tar out of my 3-year-old miniature dachshund (we'll call him Dog) - who is easily twice his length and three times his weight - by sneak-attacking him and humping him. Dog hasn't turned around and bitten Rabbit (because we got on him about playing too rough when Rabbit was still a bunny) and will opt to get up and leave. Rabbit follows Dog around unless someone physically removes him from the room.
When Rabbit does this, we'll pick him up and move him, put him in his cage, squirt him with water, everything we can think of, and he WON'T STOP. We don't know how to stop him from attacking Dog, and sooner or later I'm sure Dog is gonna get fed up and bite the little stinker.
So. Why is he doing it, and more importantly, how do we stop him?
