Hi,

My rabbit(a flemish giant/new zealand mix) has a hole on her leg thats infected on the outside right hind leg. It's been there about a week now. It's uzzing a puss type substance that's about the consistency of a melted milk shake(and a medium creme/tan color). I've been spraying it a few days with just off the shelf antiseptic spray and last few days been treated the hole part with "dry cow' med per a vets suggestion. BUT, it doesnt seem to be getting much better. Anyone have any ideas on what it might be? I thought there maybe some kind of worm burrowed but I'm not seeing one when inspecting the wound site.

Any help on what it might be and something easily obtainable to treat it with would be appreciated.

thanks,
** I'll try and get a pic of it on here later today when I get back home.

Sounds like you need a second opinion from a different vet. As already said, she need oral or injectable antibiotics, and the wound might need cleaning out professionally.
