Hi! I'm new to the forum and I have a 5 year old Holland Lop named Ebony.

I was looking up rabbit hopping and found this link to what looks like a great accessory and a good picture of a design for rabbit hurdles: http://www.cleanrun.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=3308&ParentCat=484 I'm not sure if these cups would be too far apart in height - it looks like they are two inches apart. What is everyone's opinion? This seems like a good price for 2 strips with so many cups.

Also, has anyone had any success building their own hurdles? We tried to make one out of wood with lots of nails and glue and used a drimel to hollow out cups. It worked for a little bit, then started falling apart. I think the pvc would work much better!

--a high jumper eh,,-be careful rabbits do have fragile small-hollow-bones-jumping-(even a binky)-can place undue stress on skeleton-(spine)-with negative serious results..welcome to the rabbit online website--we always try to help.-sincerely james waller :hugsquish::hearts:bunnyheart:bunnyheart

We just use film canisters for jump cups. Cut them in half so the pole is easily knocked down. :) They break easily in case the rabbit lands on the pole, which is important for safety, and the poles do easily fall.

Here's one of my jumps,

Umm, birds have hollow bones, not rabbits.

I couldn't find film canisters, so I improvised with little paint containers from Hobby Lobby. $14.95 for just the strips is kind of ridiculous, lol - the way I built mine, they cost about $5 each (four poles per jump).

When I made my agility course, I wrote up a little tutorial in my RO blog.
