rabbit has skin(?) flaking of behind his ear

my rabbit, carrots, has been having white flaky things on his ear and the edge of it for the past week, he hasn't been excessively scratching or anything . no signs of itch . he's always being his normal self. is there a possibility of it being mites? really worried right now >< View attachment ImageUploadedByRabbit Forum1433780110.733177.jpg

It could be mites or it may just be dry skin. Hard to know without a skin scrape being done. If it doesn't clear up or gets worse, I would definitely have him seen by a vet.

thanks! but he has no bald spots or whatsoever ! and the weather is kind of hot at where I live . is there any other way to tell if it's mites or dry skin?

Have a vet do a skin scraping and look at it under a microscope.

It wouldn't hurt the rabbit to dose with Revolution (selamectin) 18mg/kg. I would do 2-3 doses.
