What do you guys think of rabbit harnesses? I think i want to get some for my buns, but are they good for them?

What are you using the harness for? To go outside in the yard? :) If you start training them at a young age they should be able to be outside without one. I trained my young rabbit Charlie and he can be outside without a harness. My other rabbit Lila tends to run so i use a harness. For me it works really good. She has been able to get out of it if I dont have it tight enough but overall it works great. I wouldn't reccomend a collar because their necks are so fragile :) So if your rabbit likes to run like my lil girl Lila than I would suggest a harness :)

I was looking into getting some harnesses for my bunnies too. There is this name brand called lupine pets They are based in the states, but luckily they sell their stuff in canada too, my dog collar, and cats collars are from them. they have lifetime waranty on everything even if chewed. so if collars or harnesses get chewed or frayed return them no questions asked. I'll try and post the link, I'd like to get the cat harnesses for my lops. They have nice paterns and sell matching leashes too, I was wanting to get the muddy paws, and tickled pink for honey and hunter.

I have one of those lupine harnesses for Timmy. He has the smaller of the two sizes in the "just ducky" pattern. He weighs in at about 4.5 lbs and the neck could get about an inch smaller and the chest strap is midway between its shortest and longest.

Has timmy ever gotten out of the harness? Also my holland lops are around 3lbs each do you think the smallest lupine harness the one you have would fit my bunnies, or do you think the harness would be to big around the neck?

He hasn't ever gotten out of this one. I tried one of those comfort jacket/vest style harnesses and he could get out of that one. Then I had a figure 8 one that worked well, but I was worried about it snagging and the neck tightening up too much. This one is definitely my favorite.
I think it would probably be sufficient for a 3 lb rabbit. I never really realized how small his neck was until I looked at the harness post-adjustment.

I just use cat harnesses in the H style. They're great for small yard outings, and so helpful for vet visits! As long as you don't yanl on them, they'll be alright.

I had a harness for my bunnies, but they hated it! Insteadof using it, they literally chewed up the harness that I payed 10 dollars for! Luckily, they don't really stray far outside!:D
