Now I did breed chinchillas back years ago but with them what you see is what you get. If something is carried you can still see it in the color so it made it easy to know what the kits will be. Now I know in rabbits it is not like that so please bare with me I am learning.

Now I have 2 litters of English lops both by the same father. Father is broken blue tort. He is out of REW and broken blue tort. There is also black tort broken cream (not sure what this color is), blue, fawn and broken lynx.

Doe one is solid blue tort. She is out of solid black and solid blue. She also has broken orange, broken opal, lynx, orange andbroken blue tort.

Her kits look like all broken but one looks like a REW. The broken are very light not dark like I would think a blue would be I wonder what color they could be and could I really have a REW from this pair?

Doe two is a broken blue. She is out of a blue and broken fawn and orange. Other colors are broken opal, orange, blue tort, broken black, opal, black, lack chestnut agouti and black tort.

She also looks to have 2 REW, 1 solid blue, one looks like a very light broken blue and the others almost look white but not really.

So I was wondering what colors do you think I might get as they get more hair I will post pics just wanted to see what colors to look for.

I would think that the first would be broken blue tort if they are blue tort and broken blue tort which would be lighter than broken blue and it would make sense that the son of a REW could produce a REW. with the second is it possible the light blue is a broken blue tort and that the lighter ones are fawn? just guesses

Hi, ive had both tort and fawn, the tort is a dark fawn with pointed marks on them.

I can tell you this you can rule out , lynx, creme and opal as they are all caused by the agouti gene which is dominate and if neither parents have it then the babies cant. Also the orange, fawn, chestnut since there not dilute colors and are also caused by the agouti gene.

Doe 1: yes its possible for her to have a REW baby, one of her parents probably has ancestors that are carrying the REW gene from somewhere further back than the pedigree shows. And the buck carries rew.

Doe 2: Maybe more rews and a broken tort?

Edit: I saw your other post and if they are the same babies them doe 1 has a rew and doe 2 has 3 rews and a broken blue tort answering your babies in question.

Not that they are getting older I can see the colors better. I just have 1 that is a puzzel it is white but looks like light blue on the ears and around the eyes. The fur is looking little off white I can not wait till it get older to see the color.
