I wonder if there are any rabbits owner that owns chinchillas.
I’m thinking of getting chinchillas but don’t know if rabbits or chinchillas can be in the same room. I’m still living at my parents place but will move out when I’m done studying and get a job (2 years until I’m done with university).
So my rabbits will be moving with me as they did when I didn’t live at home, so all my rabbits will become free roaming then.
But I keep my indoor rabbits free roaming. So can chinchillas be in the same room as rabbits, not free roaming but in their cage. I would never allow a rabbit and chinchilla meet with out fence between them.
Are there any diseases that can jump between them, I know guinea pig can’t be together with rabbits because of this. Are it the same with chinchillas.
If they can’t live in the same area, I won’t be getting any chinchillas as pets. Because I want to keep my pets safe and have a happy life.
