2 days now one of brownies babies hashad loose stools, i think its possibly the hay as i just gota new bale that has a bit more alpalpa to it than normal. butits only the one baby that is doing it. ive been making sureto keep it hydrated and washing its little bottomoff. im planning on picking up some nurticaltoday. baby is 5 weeks old could there beany other causes for this? i put this baby back in withmom. others are in there own hutch as momhad been getting snippy with them and wouldnt let themnurse. suggestions needed. gota call into the vet already also. waiting on them to callback as to when i can get in today. justwanted suggestions as to what may be the cause of the loosestools. its not watery just really softlike a thick soup.

It could be a few things, I'd let the vet takecare of diagnosis. I would take away any pellets and justgive him/her oats and hay. Although if you suspect it's thehay, then just the oats. Otherwise, do as you are: keep himclean and hydrated. Definitely try some Nutri-Cal

I had a couple dothat also , I think it may havebeen a combination of heat and alfalfahay , every now and then ittends to happen here but onlywith certain rabbits ,prsonally I would take them offthe alfalfa in this heat and gowith straight orchard or timothy hayinstead .
