I'm hopefully going to be breeding Misty to a black otter netherland dwarf soon, thing is he isn't my rabbit so I'll be bringing her to a friends house a five minute walk from me. He's Misty's sire

I was just wondering, should I put her in the cage for an hour or so and then bring her home with me again? I really don't want to leave her there overnight. Or should I just let them breed once or twice and bring her straight home.

Thank you!

Usually you are best to mate then give them a few hours before you remate them I think most give an 8 hour gap so you may want to leave her to improve her chances :)

I personally wouldn't leave my doe in a cage at someone else's house and then leave. I would take her and breed her, then either take her home or leave her in a separate cage there. Then I would go back 6-12 house later and re-breed her.

edited to say that I wouldn't leave my doe in a buck's cage at someone else's house :)

Ya thanks guys I really didn't want to leave her there, and I don't think I would, I would be sick with worry.

Oh and if I breed black otter to black otter will I just get black otter? This bucks babies have always been black otter or else pure black but that is because the doe was pure black. So Misty's sire is black otter but her dam is black, Misty is black otter. So what are the chances of her throwing (is that the word?) black babies?

yes you have a chance of blacks and otters sounds like they are pure blacks (not carrying blue) You should I think get more otters than black as its a more dominant pattern
