Hi Guys !!!

Need some advice.

I'm seriously thinking about going back to the UK due to the job situation (or lack of it) here.

What I am interested in finding out is, can I bring the rabbits back tothe UK with, if they up-to-date with jabs, have a pet passport etc....

If any of you have any advice or links that I could check out, it would be grately appreciated.

Thanks Amy

I will take a look. I had to get rid my babies before I cameto Germany, it was heartbreaking, and ideally I don't want to have togo that again.

So if it is possible to take them with me, if I do go back, then that is what I want to do.

You can do it, there's someone here who took herbabies to Japan or something like that. I'll look for thethread, but I honestly have no idea where to start looking.LOL

I'm not sure about the specifics, I know that here it's easier to gofrom the US to Canada or Mexico then to Europe, but I'm not sure aboutgoing from European country to European Country. They wouldprobably have to go through quarantine and you would need to find anairline that would transport them. I had a friend who movedto Germany for awhile, she took her dog. I can ask her whatshe had to do, but the laws might be different as she came from the USand it was a few years ago.

Amy - One of the links was exactly what I was looking for, Thanks Honey !!!!!

Jen - I may still be here when you come in the fall, as it is not definately that I'm leaving Munich.

For all that live in EU Countries.

Rabbits can travel provided they have all the required injectionsetc.... Basically it is the same for a cat, dog, ferret etc....

Pet Passports are a great idea !!!!!

Pet rabbits and rodents From 3 July 2004 the following will apply:
· When imported into the UK from another EU country or from Andorra,Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino, Switzerland or theVatican there will be no rabies requirements. This means that currentlythere are no requirements for these animals when entering the UK fromthese countries. The EU may impose conditions on the movement of theseanimals at a later date.
· Animals from these countries will be able to enter the UK on any route at any point of entry.
· Animals in quarantine in the UK which came from any of these countries will become eligible for early release.
· When imported into the UK from any other country, animals must belicensed into quarantine for 6 months. The EU may revise thisrequirement at a later date.

The above was taken from the 2nd link from Amy's post

Pet Passports?? I need to look into this. Afamily emergency has come up so I'm going down this weekend and we'retaking the rabbits with us. I called the US border though and it'sfine, no laws or anything, but still, that's intriguing.
