I had a question I ment to ask but I lost the internet at the time and forgot:

I got my nethie Misty when she was already pregnant, I really wanted this litter to survive as I haven't had any luck before, she had a nestbox but didn't use it and had them in a corner of the cage and it was cold out and they were got chilled, I brought them in and warmed them up, I got four out of five of them back but their movements were very slow and within a half an hour they got slower and slower and died. I was just wondering what could cause that? When I warmed them up I kept them at the same temp all the time until they died.

There are many causes of death in young kits. I would highly suspect that the chilling lead to their demise.

However, we have had years when we've lost kits during the fall-early spring season that did not get chilled. Some causes can be birthing difficulty, lack of antibodies from the dam, congenital abnormalities, or viral/bacterial infections.

Ok thanks, sound like it was the fact they got chilled since they were stone cold plus I have no idea how long they were there since I was at school.
