Ok, I bought a pure-bred Dutchrabbit from a rabbit breeder who breeds multiple breeds and sells themdepending on the age. The breeder also said that they would sell us thepedigree for $5. Do most breeders sell pedigrees, and not just givethem to you if you need it? I'm pretty new to the whole rabbit breedingand stuff, so I'm totally unsure about it.

It depends onthe breeder , some charge nominalfees, others dont , some add itinto the purchase of the rabbit , $5.00 isnt badfor the papersactually I have heardof some charging more.

Yeah, it really depends on the breeder. I justinclude mine in the price so I dock $5 if they don't want the papers. It works out alright that way.... no big

I paid 35 for my flemish, so not sure if it wasrolled in, but I paid no extra for her pedigree. I didn'treally care about it, as I just wanted a pet, but its cool to have!

Like the others, I think it depends upon the breeder. Most ofthe breeders I know in this area will sell pet rabbits without thepedigree (even if they're purebred) and show rabbits will include thepedigree - but the price is higher due to the quality of the rabbit.

When I start selling, I'm going to include pedigree & 2pictures of the rabbit (at different ages) with the show rabbits....andthe pets will receive one picture but no pedigree for the basicprice. Pedigree will probably run an extra couple of dollarsfor my time and paperwork (which really isn't that hard with softwareprograms).

I include the pedigree with the rabbit but i donot give pedigrees with pet sales.I have heard stories of rabbits beingresold at higher prices and i dont want anyone to think my pet qualitybunnies are anything but pets.bluebird

I include the pedigree if it is a breeder that Iam selling to. I do not give pedigrees to people wanting itjust as a pet however I do give them all the vital info on the rabbit(Color of rabbit, breed, sex, and date of birth). Sometimes Itell them that the pedigree is 10 dollars. This way if theyare serious and really want the pedigree they won't mind paying forit. I also do not sell my pets for a lot of money.
