I have someone who would like to purchase a buck off of me. They want to breed him to their females which they purchased last yr.....which would make them a yr old right now. My question is Im very uncomfortable with this idea to breed them because of their age....they shouldnt be bred after 1 yr correct? It will be their first litter at over 1 yr old. How doI go about this...just say no? Or do I try and educate for the bunnies sake. Any ideas would be great. Thanks.

(I have ELs incase anyone doesnt know)

The 1 yr rule generally applies to small and dwarf breeds from my experience. I haven't heard any cases of large breeds having issues just because they are a year or older. It should be fine to breed with them.

I generally don't breed my English Lops until 10-14 months; however, the line my stock is from is very slow maturing. I would say one year is alright, but not much older than that.
