Hi all,

I'm a little concerned about Devon. Last night my sister saw him pickup a ball of tape and chew. She grabbed it right out of his mouth, butit is concievable that he may have swallowed a little bit. This morninghe was thumping like crazy (that may have been completely unrelated). Inoticed that there was a lot less poop than normal. The poop was also abit smaller. I am perplexed because his eating habits are no differentthan they normally are. As I write this, he is munching away on hay andpellets. However, I still haven't seen him poop. Should I be concerned?Does this warrant a call to the vet?

I would watch for thenext few hours , let him outrunning around for a bit andsee if it helps get his innardsgoing better , the more hay hegets the better off he will be ,. A little Nutricalwill help expidite things along also ,about a half inch should do thetrick . If you still dont seehim pooping I would only thensuggest calling the vet for an opinion

Would petromalt be okay? I have some on hand.Although on the back it said that it should "not be used to treatstomach impaction." Is a stomach impaction what Devon might have?
