I emailed someone about some holland lops and I was wondering if these are actually what she is claiming I dont know a lot about rabbits and I want some help she says they are show quality out of "the top 2 rabbits of 2010-2011" .. and just want to see what ya'll think?

It appears to me that the black (or is that a shaded? can't tell with that lighting) and the broken black have a slipped crown, but I am new to Hollands and would love a second opinion from a more knowledgable breeder.

Thats what she sent me and when i talked to her over the phone she said that she only had show quality rabbits she lives in south ms

Pics attached, but I do not have a picture of Gussy (black doe) or Hyatt/Lotts Blue Heaven (blue doe), my bucks are tort (brown), broken tort (brown and white), agouti (dark chestnut), chocolate and blue eye white. All are very nice and these pictures will give you a very good idea of the quality of Holland Lops we raise.
Again, all our bunnies come from the #1 and #2 Breeders and Show Champions for 2010 and 2011.

I agree about the slipped crown. She didn't even pose them correctly, I'd be surprised if shes telling the truth...Are you looking to show yourself?

yeah I was thinking about it but its super hard to find holland lops round here i've been lookin for one for almost a year now

yeah this was her reply

I have a black American Fuzzy Lop doe

My HL herd buck is black

I haven't sen any blues in awhile

I haven't had any babies in a while

I should have some soon. Some due on the 5th

I do have 2 bucks I can look at again and see if I could let them go, one is a blue tort, th eother is a siamese sable. I alos have a black otter, but he is a fluffy Holland

I do have a broken sable/black doe I could let go

I love those colors as well, but my advice to you, if you're looking to get into showing or breeding, is to choose type over color, especially if Hollands are hard to find in your area. Don't settle for a substandard Lop just because it's your chosen color. :)

yeah i guess but what is the point of buying one that you dont really want i dont really care for the other colors i bought my mini lop dont really like what color she is but dont get me wrong i love her to pieces and wouldnt trade anything for her just want to get what i've been looking for now and not just settle for something I dont

If that's the route you want to go, then stick to your guns--just be open minded to the possibility of falling in love with another color. You will also have to be prepared to drive to another state or ship in stock from elsewhere if you are dead-set on a particular color. I had to do that with my Polishes and my harlequin Hollands.

I'm prob going to have to drive to another state anyways because the only ones i can find in ms are like 4-5 hours away anyways so i'll just keep looking btw i didnt mean that to come out rude what i said earlier if it sounded that way
