Quail family!

I was taking Sammy out to go potty and he started getting all whiney. I looked to my left and saw a mommy Quail, daddy Quail, and a TON (like 20!) of baby Quails go running at full speed ahead out from under neath my deck. They ran over to the wooden play fort thingy in my backyard and I zoomed into the house as quickly as possible to get my camera and put the zoom lens on it to catch these pictures, even though they are blurry and kinda hard to see....

Now I know why big daddy Quail is so annoying every single morning when he sits up on top of the play fort out back like a rooster on a roof and scream to another Quail...he was probably screaming to his wifey Quail, letting her know if it was safe for her and the babies to come out!

I was outside running the furminator over Sammy after his bath and saw the Quail family pictured above AND another family! Lots of babies!! They are living in the huuuge section of bushes in the back yard.

They are every where here, especially since I have an open field type thing in my backyard and to the side of my house. They can get annoying, though....especially when big daddy screams to his wifey in the morning , haha!

The little Quail family is adorable, though! I don't think I've ever seen a Quail in the wild (I've seen them in zoos, but that's just not the same)! I'm jealous! :cry1:
