it's completely normal! no need to stress, although it's hard not to. as long as she's nibbling something, she'sgoing to be fine. it will take her a good 4-5 days to start eatingnormal amounts again, but as long as you keep her digestive systemworking with nibbles of food, she will recover with lots of TLC.

i still think her cecals are from too much alfalfa, she may be one ofthose rabbits that cannot even handle alfalfa pellets and you mighthave to feed her timothy pellets, or just give her 1/8 cup of alfalfapellets. OR maybe she cannot handle veggies.

I know this is a late entry but FYI aspirin is ablood thinner and is usually not given before or after surgery. So, aska vet before administering. My vet forbid it after my bun's surgery. Weended up syringing her fluids. I missed the part about the cecals butif she is not eating much that would be a result as well. Delilahs poopwas very different for the first 24hrs.
glad it worked out.... we all want to see more pics in the blog though:D

Hi Cheryl, how kind of you to think of her.

She's recovered really well from the neutering, and was doing littlebunny leaps of joy againwithin three days. She's already muchmuch calmer, and no longer tries to jump on the couch. I rearranged theliving room, so maybe that helped with the territorial behaviour too. She's not so desperately horny any more, which must be a relief forher! The smell seems to be less too.

I'm so glad I had it done, rather than trying to rehome her. Also, theworries about her after the op made me realise just how much I love her!

Best wishes to all who've replied,

Lucy

Isn't it amazing how big the changes are in thereally hormonal ones? It really lets them be who they are, instead of what their hormones say they are.

Glad to hear she's doing well. Keep us updated!
