Ok I just walk in to the rabbit barn and checked on the rabbits mainly to check on my Opal doe that is due any day now and she is fine I looked over and our non-showable broken red doe was just laying there dead and it just about broke my heart she was bread to one of my castor bucks and was due in early Nov and I just don't know what happened and this will just hurt my boys really bad. If there is anything you can think of that might have happened please let me know she was 7 monthes old when I breed her........ Thanks Toby

Yea and my boys are at school and does not even know about it yet and it is strange cause at 7am, 8:30am, 10am,she was fine know problems at all. Just dont know what happened...

yea by the time I found her her spin had already stiffened up and belly was ferm not really that hard and nothing around her mouth or her noise and but her mouth was alittle blueish but if i remember right that happens to 99% of all rabbits that die anjd she still had water and feed which she never ran out of ether one the whole time I had her. Thanks for the help

Every now and then you get weird instant deaths from blood clots causing damage to the heart or brain. I know 2 people that walked out in the pasture to find their horse who was active and running about last night dead long enough to be stiff. No sign of any trauma or anything. Seizures could also lead to death but since it takes longer and usually has some warning it tends to be less of a mystery when that happens.
