Hi there, this is my first post here. I’ve had my female bun for almost a year, I just recently adopted a Flemish giant male who was neutered the day I got him. I am very suspicious that they may have done the deed and did not know they can still have sperm until 3 weeks after their neuter. My female would be due around now, she started nesting at the beginning of the week, pulling her fur, and her belly is distended. Could this be false pregnancy? Thank you!

Okay thank you! I separated them a few days ago as she was being very aggressive with him. They will stay separated until she is spayed now :) thank you for the link!

Okay, so no babies yet! But, today when I went in to check in her, she honked and lunges at me! She hasn’t done this until today, could that mean tonight’s the night? Lol I am getting impatient 😂

If it’s been more than 35 days then it may be a false pregnancy. They can act as if they’re pregnant, but they never kindle. Only way to know for sure is for a vet to do an X-ray.

We don’t know the day she got pregnant because our male is neutered and they’ve been together for a month. I can see the kits moving and her belly is big so I’m quite confident now she is pregnant, but how far along is the question! Lol

Yep, so it’s just a waiting game! Have a nestbox ready. Give her plenty of hay so when she’s ready, she can use it to build a nest. Usually, just before kindling the doe will stop eating too.

When she started acting aggressive towards him she was pregnant most likely. So if you noticed first it was a few days before 9th April add 31 day and you have your latest due date. I hope she's also flemish or at least not smaller than him as otherwise she might be struggling with the babies they could be too big for her. In this case I would contact your vet now and maybe they can estimate the size of the babies is it safe for her to give birth or maybe safer would be spay now removing her uterus with fetuses.

Don't be surprised she can be aggressive towards you now as well, make a hide for her cover her place with a blanket or something, place it under table etc, so she can feel safe there, let her be.
