Prayers for my hubby's Grandma

I just got a call from my mother-in-law. James' Grandma Tutti has had another heart attack. She had one last fall and ended up having five bypasses. She had a really hard time recovering and I was pleasantly surprised when she was finally able to leave the nursing home. The doctor says four of those five bypasses are closed again. He's running more tests because he thinks a piece of her heart might be dead. She'll be going back home tonight but it's doubtfull she'll recover.

James doesn't even know yet. He's at work and his mom doesn't want me to worry him until he gets home.

I don't believe in prayer, but we could still use some prayers or good thoughts for Grandma Tutti.

So far, so good. Tutti is back home and appears ok for now. My MIL says she is "cardiac disabled" meaning her heart is so poorly that it will affect a lot of what she can do and eventually her organs will start shutting down due to blood flow problems. But she could still live well for years, which is great. Till then, it's just one day at a time and no surprises for grandma!

It's good that she'll still be able to live okay for years, though! As long as she's still making the best of life, I'm sure she'll have many more happy memories of her family, no matter how long she lives.
