Prayers for grandpa

Please all for my grandpa. He's 96y/o and had a stroke yesterday morning. He's not paralyzed on his left side and is having some speech issues. He's also almost blind and has alot of hearing loss. In my heart I know that at 96y/o he is going to be much better off if he goes, but that doesn't make it any easier. He's the sweetest old man and he's been without grandma for 6 years now. So please just pray that if he's going to go he goes quickly and without pain and that if he isn't he gets better and doesn't end up living out his final days in a virtual prison.

Ok now it gets weird with him....for 2 days he hasn't talked and has been pretty much out of it. The OT came in this morning to test him...asks him how he's doing and he opens his eyes and says "I didn't get my breakfast"... I dont get it.

Sorry but that is funny! There's nothing like an old person's spunky attitude. They seem to just bounce back and look at us like we are stupid don't they? My aunt would say 'Ha you thought you were getting rid of me that easily eh?' My great great aunt was like a grandma to us and I felt the same way when her time came (she fooled us into thinking it was her time a few times though). I hope that when your grandpa's time comes, he goes quickly and peacefully. ray: Hopefully he will be okay and not suffer too much damage from the stroke. If it's his time, then I hope you remember all those good things about him and I offer you lots of hugs.

He yanked his foley cath out so they had to do surgery to see why it was bleeding and he was given 2 pints of blood to help make up for it. Mom said he's quite lucid during the day but by just after lunch he becomes almost comatose. So they're trying to figure out why.

Ok here is another update.....they found that he has bladder cancer. As of right now no aggressive treatment will be done. We move on from here. I feel like I'm about to fly into a million pieces between this and alot of other stuff going on...all I can do is pray.
