Well, you could get the colors of the parents. Look on the parents' pedigrees; you have a good chance of getting the colors on there. You also have a good chance of getting broken chestnut.

Well, here are the results from Evan's Software genetic What-If:

Chestnut- 29.97%
Otter (black)- 7.71%
Sable Agouti- 5.29%
Sable Chin- 5.29%
Chin Black- 5.29%
Opal- 4.42%
Orange- 3.71%
Golden- 3.71%

The rest of the colors are really low, so didn't include them. And also note, Evans isn't exactly 100% on their predictions, but it's been pretty good with my Flops.

Just a little help it is highly recommended not breeding agouti rabbits with shadeds as it can produce unshowable colors or ruin the agouti colors that are possible.

You cannot get broken if one of the parents is not broken. I believe if a grandparent is you might be able to though. What is in the background of the parents? I bred a REW and Chestnut and every baby was chestnut (the dads ped was mostly chestnut and some black otters, the mom was mostly REW in the background). Chesnut and REW are really dominant so expect those two colors from that one. And depending on the breed probably unshowable colors from the other pairing. I like what evans came up with for guessing. So helpful!

Thanks Wendy.

The REW is actually the Saimese sables daughter. The Sable also had a black rabbit.

Willow (chestnut) had a brother who was a black and another who was a black silver martin. His mother was chestnut but I don't remember what the father was.

Sarah, you were the right the first time. You can't get broken unless one of the parents is broken. As for unshowable colors, I'm not even going to go there. I have enough trouble with lop colors. LOL

lol wendy i would too! Shadeds are not necessarily recessive but they combine the two making unrecognized colors such as sable chins, smoke pearl chins, etc. I keep with my statement as before and think if you are trying to get showable babies then you shouldnt mix shadeds and agoutis.

And since REW has brokens then yes you can get broken chestnuts
