Hubby tolerates the bunnies, he didn't love our first bunny Peaches but was okay with us having him, Peaches seems to have grown on him to where now he'll pet him for a little bit.
When hubby gets home from work, he'll go downstairs to grab something to eat and he'll bring a mini carrot for Peaches. Peaches just goes nuts and runs all over his cage to get that carrot - sticking his nose through each of those holes to get it. To the point of slipping on his feet or a toy that's in the way or not jumping high enough to make the leap to the shelf above (which is 6"high - he can jump at least 18" no prob). He'll fall on his back, side or rear and get up and gonutsall for a carrot!
Peaches recognizes each of our steps: if I go down the stairs, they'll go to the door and peer out thecage asking to be let out, if it's my daughter, no change. If it's hubby, Peaches will go nuts - but only if it's a week day - he seems to know that the weekends work differently and Popcorn will just look out. And if it,s my son coming down the stairs, they both run& hide.
Hubby thinks Peaches is crazy and I'm scared he'll get badly injured, but there's really nothing to do is there? I asked him to talk to him softly when he comes down so Peaches can be prepared...
Earlier I was taking the dried mangos out of the Kaytee hay and Peaches tried to jump his 14" fence but got caught at the top and ended up jumping down cuz I guess he could smell the mangos - I had to lock him back in his cage while I got the fruit out. He's such a crazy bunny - a real character! He's a real goof!
