Ok, yesterday I let Bunny out in the afternoon to meet her "uncle" (a close friend of mine and my husband's), and she was a little cautious, but otherwise fine. The thing that worried me was the fact that she didn't poop or pee ONCE while she was out. Now, right after he left, she hopped right back into her cage, plopped down, and promptly fell asleep.
She has since been pooping and peeing just fine, so I know it's not that she's not ill, or anything. The only two reasons I can see for her not pooping are the following:
- She was nervous about a new person being around. But in this situation, wouldn't she poop MORE, in order to mark territory?
- She was tired, and hadn't eaten because she was asleep.
Am I right on these two ideas? I've noticed that when she's around the cats during "introduction sessions", she doesn't want to pee or poop nearly as much as she does when we're just in our room (her "safe place"). It really worried me, especially because she just hasn't wanted to chew on anything that's been offered, so I'm starting to worry about her teeth a little (separate thread I'll post in a moment).
Thanks, guys!
