Hello,

My bunny seems to not be eating her wet poo and there sticking to her bum.. She is overweight and i want to put her on a diet tryed in the past but she will not eat any new foods

I have meadow hay but she will not touch it.. She will eat tiny bits and then just not eat the rest... I have as well alfalfa pellets/burgess excel but she will not touch them but she will eat Wagg its a bunny brunch She eats veg and grass but will not eat anything good for her

How do i get her to eat more hay and better pellets?

How old is she?

If she's overweight I would cut out the bad stuff & not worry about her refusing to eat good food. When she's hungry enough, she will. It's time for some tough love. I would add celery to her diet, just cut it so there are no long strings.

If she's not eating some of her cecals, it's probably another sign that her diet is too rich.

Alfalfa is way to rich and fattening for older buns. Only for kits andlactating females. A plain timothy pellet is what she needs. She needs to go on a diet so that she can eat that cecal.

We use orchard grass and Timothy based pellets. A mini rex came to us weighing almost 9 pounds--she looked like a blob with ears. We just give her a small amount of pellet and unlimited orchard grass--she's now 5 pounds and looks like a rabbit instead of a stand-in for Jobba the Hut.
