my rabbit lives indoors, she has her own room, she doesnt live in any sort of cage, shes over confident &doesnt seem to have any fear. i have 3 dogs, one of which the rabbit has become very close to, when me or the dog shes close to enters the room she gets very excited jumping in the air, throwing herself on her back going and going in some sort of trance, she makes a load humming noise and constantly rubbing her chin on me & the dog. is this normal?

also the dog is always giving her face a wash, obviously i stop this, but the rabbit keeps pushing her face forward for more. is this ok?

is it ok for dogs & rabbits to be friends, my rabbit has not had any injections of any sort, as she lives indoors & i intend to keep it that way

thanks

Wow it sounds like your rabbit and your dog get along really well and your rabbit has no fear of it, and has bonded to it. Usually when two rabbits are bonded they exhibit this dominance behavior of demanding to be petted on the head, by putting their head forward and down for the other one to groom. It looks like yours is doing that to the dog. The self-trancing bit is something I've never encountered before, but seems to be an overjoyous display. Rabbits get along fine with many dogs, typically non-hunter breeds.
