Hi, it's me again.

The problem of the hour is sticky poo. Biscut and kitsare having poops thatare not runny but alsonot thenormal cute and healthy rolly polly type. It's apparentlymushy at first then hardens around their backsides.

Biscut is no problem cleaning up. I've been just rinsing heroff in the sink and towel dry. But the kits are an entirelydifferent matter. Their sticky poo has hardened around theirprivate parts and I'm afraid if I don't clear it off, the nexttime they have
"to go", it won't be able to get out.

I'm thinking it's either the meds or the copious amounts of oats everyone binged on last night.

Sometimes I think I'm stressing out over everything with these bunniestoo much. If this is nothing to worry about, tell mestraight, but if it is, please anyone with some good advice, thank you.

I tried to rinse off one of the kits and the poop would just not come off. I'm at a loss what to do.

It sounds like maybe their cecal pelletes havegotten caught in their fur...that happened to Cosmo once, but a couplehours later, it was gone, he had cleaned it off. Perhaps thekits will clean themselves of it...can you cut it out of their fur?

You need to check what you are feeding and howmuch. Too many vegies can cause the problem as well as toomany treats. Also if you are over feeding it will cause theproblem.

Thanks Lanna. I'm glad I did it, Irinsed off the kits bottoms under warm water. Triscuit's bumwas so matted it took a while, but once the outer crust broke free, awhole bunch of regular formed poop came out. Triscuitsgenitals look irritated. After I dried it off, he/she was sohappy and did a little jig. Normal poops now.

The other kit's bum wasn't as bad.

Everyone's a-ok today, and I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks again.

Now that they are cleaned up, you might trycutting the fur short around the genitals and applying a littlevaseline daily until the kits are a little older. Some breedswith slightly longer fur seem to be really prone to those "poopiepancake butts".

In cases where the buildup has caused genital irritation, a little desitin for human babies can be applied to the area.
