I just got my bun a little wheatgrass thing from Earth Fare and I was wondering how long it will live? I had it in the fridge in its little plastic bucket thing, then I took it out and put it in a big cup on the floor for Foo to nibble on.

I also just got a flat leaf parsley plant, how long will that one live?

One more, which clovers are okay to give to buns?
I have the ones with the dark green/purple middles of the leaves. Some of them grow the purple and white flowers. I don't think I have any of the clovers with the white centers in the leaves. Can I give the flowers that grow in the clovers too?

Whenever I planted wheat grass, it lived for a couple weeks before dying off (But that could be because my mom likes to cut it so low...) but it grows EXTREMELY fast so it should be easy to keep going.

As far as the parsley, I have all mine outside so obviously it won't live as long as an indoor one or one in a warmer climate but it seems to do well, it just takes FOREVER to grow!

The clover is one I am not 100% sure on.

I don't understand; do you mean you put growing wheat grass in the refrig or just the trimmed off bits? I really don't think those little tubs grow wheat grass very well; they aren't deep enough for the roots. You need something at least 6" deep. Just buy some wheat berries at a grocery or health seed store & plant in some containers with drainage & a pan to catch the excess water & put them in a sunny window [or outside while it's still warm enough]. When they reach about 5" high, cut off 3" for your rabbit. The wheat should be planted fairly thickly, like grass seed. After awhile new growth will stop & you should replant.

Parsley is a biennial, so it dies after the 2nd summer. But if you let some of the plants go to seed outside, it will replant itself.

I'd stick to the green parts of red clover unless your rabbit needs to lose weight. The flowers curb the appetite. And if there are wild rabbits around there, I'd be careful about picking from plants they're been around, to avoid spreading parasites.

Lately I've been adding some goldenrod flowers to Honey's diet.
