I am going for my surgery on Thurs and I am going to have a cast on my wrist for a few weeks after. But my SO gets home on the 11th for 6 days(he works 21 days and is off for 7 but a chunk of his off days is travel as he works in another province).

Anyway he asked me to plan a date night and I am not to let him know what it is until he gets home.

We are both outdoors people and love camping and hiking. So I am thinking maybe doing a trip to one of the national parks in our province and doing a hiking day and camping. But I don't know how hard this will be having a cast on my wrist. I wanted to do kayaking but that is not an option for me this summer *sigh*

I need ideas. We live in the most beautiful province in the world. There has to be something we can do and enjoy. Whale watching maybe? I need ideas. We have an inactive volcano about 15 minutes outside of the city that can be a nice hour hike. But then what? There is the Bay Of Fundy/Fundy National Park where we have hopewell rocks and a bunch of other stuff.

Or maybe I should just say dinner and a movie? I don't know. I want to take advantage of his time home where we can just sneak away for a day or so and enjoy our time together.

Any thoughts/ideas? My other thought was maybe doing a "haunted tour" of New Brunswick where we can scope out local history and ghost stories. I don't know what to do!
