This morning about 1 am, I was sleeping peacefully in the bed and Tippy in the chair. All of the sudden, she hops onto the bed and starts digging in my pillow (at least she was courteous enough to move my head first). I shooed her off the bed but she hopped right back up and started digging in it again. Again, I shooed her. Again, she hopped up. This happened several more times. I tried putting her back on her chair. She'd hop back to the pillow. I tried snuggling her. She'd break free of my snuggles to attack the pillow. Finally after about 45 minutes, she quit, went back to her chair, and fell asleep for the rest of the night.

Why is she doing this? I mean, I don't really mind, since she did give it up eventually, but it was like she was saying "mom, I hate your bed. This pillowcase sucks. Make it go away." Could it have to do with the fact that my partner was here for the past two nights and Tippy smelled her on the pillow? But using that logic, she was here the weekend before, and there was no frantic bunny behavior when she left last weekend....

I'll try putting on a new pillow case tonight (maybe that one really clashes with the room...you know how Tippy is about things that clash), but...any ideas as to why all of the sudden, my sweet little snugglebutt became a pillow monster?

Fraggles digs at things around me when she wants me to pay attention to her. Maybe Q wanted you to wake up and do something. If she does it again try getting up for a few minutes and see if it continues while your up.

I got up and petted her during the night, but she went right on digging. She's never done this before, so it was weird hours for her. Usually she sleeps through the night pretty quietly. I guess we'll see what tonight brings.

Poppi sleeps on the end of my bed and I am often woken by her digging and pulling at the blankets. She will then to proceed to nudge my hand until I rub her head. Apparently 3am in the morning is the ideal time for a 30 minute head massage.

I honestly don't know what you are all complaining about, as at least your bunnies will lie down for a pet. Derby digs at the blankets, chews on the covers and bites Len's feet. When you try and pet him he races off. He will then jump into the chair beside our bed and dig until you get up and give him at least a 15 minute pet and snuggle. Lying in a warm bed petting a bunny, seems so much better than getting up a couple of times a night for this ritual. As Larry says, I am certainly getting well trained by this guy.
