I don't have a ton of time tonight to post, but I brought home my two new kittens yesterday afternoon. Everything went as scheduled and both girls are just adorable. Momma cat and the other kittens all lookedhealthy.A friend took the mom and kittens back to her place and she's planning on keeping the trio and getting them all spayed, neutered, and vaccinated. I wound up taking two, but for now they're just fosters. I want to be sure that my health stays good and that I'm able to handle the addition of two more animals. But they're home for now and that's what's important.

So, without further ado, here are my two new sweethearts, Morgana and Amelia. They are about 7 weeks old right now as they were born 6/13. They're tiny, but in good condition and I have a vet appointment lined up for them on Thursday evening. So we're all good.

They are beautiful, oh wow, brings back memories for me. I hand raised a litter of kittens last year, 3 black and 2 black and white, your kitties look so much like them! I'll see if i can fish a picture out later.

How are they settling in?

Edit: found a few of my foster kitties :D, similar no?

They were only about 3/4 weeks there, I can't find any of the ones where they were older. I have some gorgeous ones on the PS3 but not sure how to get to them to photobucket from there, grrr.

Your foster kittens look so much like my new little girls. Wow...it's uncanny. When I saw the pics you posted I almost couldn't tell the difference aside from the fact that my girls' eyes have already turned from blue to greenish/brown.

The girls are doing well. Both are eating, drinking, and using their litter box. They seem happy - albeit somewhat scared still. Morgana (the black one) seems to be a little more mature and active at this point. Amelia is definitely more timid and less interested in playing. She is still pretty frightened of me so I've been trying to give her space and allow her to dictate when and how to bond with me. Morgana, on the other hand, is just a bundle of energy and acts as though she's always been here. But I suspect more of Amelia's personality will come out in the coming days.

I'm happy that I wound up taking both girls because I think it would've been hard for only one to have been taken from the litter and brought home. The two together seem much more comfortable and I've not had any excessive mewing or crying. They've even slept through the night - two nights in a row! They have free roam of the upstairs spare bedroom, hallway, and bathroom (formerly the bunny area), but they're in an extra large dog crate at night. They don't seem to mind, but if I sleep too late, they let me know because they want out of the crate to play. But, overall, they're really doing well and they've been such joys.

I can't get over how cute your fosters were. Did you get to keep one (or more than one)?! EEK - they are too cute!

I think it's good that you have the two together as well, I think it can be pretty scary for little animals to suddenly be alone. Your girls are so pretty :D.

I wasn't able to keep any of the kittens, unfortunatly. I have a partner who's not too animal crazy already, and we already had an established adult cat who wasn't really that keen on the kittens. We aren't even allowed cats or dogs here (rental) so I was a bit nervous of the lanlord :(. He doesn't mind bunnies as he thinks they are harmless (little does he know :p) but he's had cats and dogs from previous tenants wreck the house a bit.

Are they eating and pooing ok? The worst thing to me about kittens is their pooing, especially if they have worms, ugh! Our cat Brewster was 7 weeks when we got her and she had worms pretty bad, she used to have runny poo everywhere and rub her bum along the carpet :?. Poor little thing.

Hope you're taking heaps of pictures, I adore cats, my favourite animal for sure.

awwww! they're so cute! i hope everything goes well for you this time ;)

ican't believe i missed this the last couple of days, this week has been really weird for me :?

any way, congrats and best wishes!
