I am alwaysso excited to wake up every morning and see the little bunnies. Their fur have become even more thicker over a night! I was so amazed. Now their bodies are fully covered with their own fur and its thick enough to cover their pink skin. I am just too excited about it that I just couldnt stop snapping pictures of them. I know it was only 2 days ago that I posted some pictures update. I hope the moderator or admin doesnt mind me. :D Like I said ... I am so excited. I wish they dont have to grow. They are too cute like that.

Now that all the little bunnies have furs, does the bunnies still need to be in the shoe box with the nesting? I guess now the shoe box is not high enough. Murphy and Binky ( the two white bunnies which seems to be the biggest among all) can climb out of the box already. They both are always caught wondering about the cage and sometimes sleeping at the corners. And just a few mins ago .... I caught the other two, Buffy and Smokey outside too. Mummy will always stay at her little pan everytime her babies got out of the box. Its like ... she doesnt want her babies to come to her. Somehow, seeing her up her litter pan seems cute. She was trying so hard to cramp herself on it.

At this age, the babies still need a "safe" place. Many breeders will turn the nest box on its side to provide a nice hiding place for the babies.

If possible, make some sort of shelf for mom. So that she won't constantly be hounded by the babies trying to feed. They are going to chase her all day wanting to be fed now that they are older, and most moms like to have a place to get away.

You are going to have to start thinking of where you will keep the babies once they are weaned. You can start weaning them at about 8 weeks old. They will need another cage at that point. Then once the babies are 12 weeks old, I would separate them until they can be fixed. Or if you are planning on trying to find new homes for the babies, then you can start letting them go to new homes a week or so after they've been weaned.

Oh .. that is really interesting. But I dont understand that part u said "Then once the babies are 12 weeks old, I would seperate them untill they can be fixed." What do you mean?

Because they will soon be able to have babies! Fixed means neutered btw ;)
